Suppressed emotions, especially fear and anger play a big role in Parkinsons disease, according to Fred Philips. Based on my experience with people with Parkinsons he seems to be spot on.
Luís Martins Simões also says that Parkinsons is caused by suppressing anger, disallowing yourself to explode in anger, in a situation of being controlled by someone:
