Blood Test Results
To understand the results better, I will first explain some terms:
Sedimentation (BSE)
This shows how much sedimentation occurs in blood. It's meassured in milimeters.
Normal values: 1 up to 7. This number is elevated when there is a infection
or tumor in the body.
Hemoglobin (Hb)
This is the amount of hemoglobin per liter blood in mmol per liter.
Haematocriet (Ht)
This shows the ratio of the bloodcells relative to the blood volume. 0,41
means 41% of the bloodvolume are blood cells.
Erythrocytes
These are the red blood cells. The concentration is meassured in 1012
per liter..
Mean Cell Volume (MCV)
Mean volume of red blood cells in femtoliter (fl = 10-15 liter).
Mean Cell Hemoglobine (MCH)
Mean weight of red blood cells in picograms (pg = 10-12 gram).
Leucocyten
These are the white blood cells, which are responsible for the protection
of the body (immune-system). The concentration is meassured in billions per
liter (109/l).
I will publish as much as possible about my specific case and treatment,
so that other people might benefit from the information.
I started taking prednison the first time at the end of 1998. My symptoms
had started in january 1998 when I was 19 years old. The second prednison
treatment was started at the end of 1999/beginning of 2000.
Since May 2000 I also stopped eating wheat (I had just read Eat Right for
Your Type by Dr. D'Adamo) and that seemed to help a lot. Instead of that I
ate self baked spelt (a type of grain, much healthier than wheat) bread.
In October the inflammation started to return, however. In November I started
the SCDiet and the DMSO treatment. In January 2001 I discovered the SCDiet
was responsible for my healing. I stopped using the DMSO on a regular basis.
I continued using the diet strictly.. Very successfully.. In March 2001, I
am completely symptomfree. You can see that in my blood test results. The
sedimentation is lower than ever, as is the leukocytes level (white blood
cells). The red blood cell count is higher than ever. I can notice that..
My energy level is perfect. I can conclude that the SCDiet has done for me
what prednisone could not ! Let's hope it will last.. I am very confidenced
it will !
