Blood Test Results


Sedimentation (BSE) (range: 1 - 7)
This shows how much sedimentation occurs in blood. It's meassured in milimeters. Normal values: 1 up to 7. This number is elevated when there is a infection or tumor in the body.




Haemoglobin (Hb) (range: 8.6 - 10.7)
This is the amount of hemoglobin per liter blood in mmol per liter.




Haematocriet (Ht) (range: 0.4 - 0.5)
This shows the ratio of the bloodcells relative to the blood volume. 0,41 means 41% of the bloodvolume are blood cells.




Erythrocytes (range: 4.2 - 5.6)
These are the red blood cells. The concentration is meassured in 1012 per liter..




Mean Cell Volume (MCV) (range: 80 - 98)
Mean volume of red blood cells in femtoliter (fl = 10-15 liter).




Mean Cell Hemoglobine (MCH) (range: 1.74 - 2.18)
Mean weight of red blood cells in picograms (pg = 10-12 gram).




Leucocytes (range: 3 - 6)
These are the white blood cells, which are responsible for the protection of the body (immune-system). The concentration is meassured in billions per liter (109/l).
